Day 1

Negombo

Upon arrival you will be met by your chauffeur-guide. Transfer to your hotel in Negombo which is a 15 minute drive from the airport. Rest, relax and prepare for an authentic Sri Lankan Adventure.

Day 2

Sigiriya

Drive 3 and half hours to the cultural center of Sri Lanka where history comes alive. Visit Dambulla Cave Temple, which dates back to the first century BC followed by a visit to the eighth wonder of the world – Sigiriya.

Day 3

Kandy

Drive about 3 hours to Kandy. Today you will explore this city full of hustle and bustle which was the last Kingdom of ancient Ceylon. You will visit a couple of sites which include the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the Botanical Gardens and winding up with a cultural show.

Day 4

Kandy

Today you will conquer the Knuckles Mountain Range. Drive 1 hour to the base where you will start hiking. It will be a 24 km hike. Enjoy the breath taking scenery, stop at view points, take a dip in the waterfalls, have lunch in a village hut and just enjoying being one with nature.

Day 5

Nuwara Eliya

You will head to a town, ironically referred to as “Little England”. The drive will be 3 hours. It will be one of the most breathtaking drives you have ever been on with several stops along the way, including a stop at a tea planation and tea factory. Once you get to Nuwara Eliya, soak in the colonial atmosphere with visits to the golf course, race course, the Pink Post Office and strolling through the local market.

Day 6

Ella

Today you have an early start. Drive 1 hour to Horton Plains National Park. You will then hike approximately 10 kms. This walk is one of the most breathtaking walks Sri Lanka has to offer with a landscape like no other. You will then return to your hotel and freshen up before catching the train to Ella. This train ride is considered the most beautiful in the world.

Day 7

Ella

Today you will be spending your day in untainted nature. Take a short drive to Diyaluma and then hike up to get to the waterfalls. Take a dip in a natural infinity pool with breathtaking scenery. You will then drive back to Ella and take a walk to the Nine Arch bridge and Little Adams Peak.

Day 8

Ella

Today you will hike up Ella Rock. It will be approximately a 5 hour hike. You will begin the walk at Ella station, walking along the railway for a couple of kilometers before you start climbing the mountain. At the peak, you will be treated with an amazing view.

Day 9

Udawalawe

Today is the day for the safari! Drive two hours to Udawalawe. You will start your safari at 2:00 pm in a private jeep. You will be guaranteed to see elephants and other animals roaming freely in the wild. What a treat!

Day 10

Sinharaja

Drive 2 hours to Sinharaja, where you will be going on an adventure to explore Sri Lanka’s viable area of primary tropical rainforest. More than 60% of the trees are considered endemic and many of them are rare. You might also spot some reptiles, butterflies and rare amphibians on the trail.

Day 11

Galle

Drive to Galle. Part of the drive will be along Sri Lanka’s pristine south coast. Spend the afternoon leisure at the beach, then head to Galle Fort for sunset and soak up the colonial quaint of Galle.

Day 12 & 13

Galle

Spend the next 2 days leisure at your hotel and at the beach.

Day 14

Airport

Drive to the airport. It will be a 2 hour drive from Galle to Colombo Airport.
